On the flood plains to the south of Lebala camp, the wide open plains are a mecca for ungulates. These herds attract a diverse bird life that hunt insects as the grass is disturbed. Just before sunrise, I found this cattle egret hitching a ride on a wildebeest. It gave me the perfect opportunity for a silhouette in the intense green season light.
